Sergey Korshunov and Michelle Hafle have been dancing together since March of 2004. They met in Dallas, Texas and soon discovered that they shared the same philosophy and love of Latin dancing. Together they compete nationally and internationally at the world’s most prestigious ballroom events. Currently they are ranked United States Rising Star Latin Finalists.
Since the beginning of their partnership they have been invited to perform at such locations as the Virgin Islands, Cancun, Los Angeles, and many local events in the Dallas area. In 2005 they were spotted by the producers of Dancing with the Stars at a competition in Los Angeles and were later invited to audition for the show. In 2006 the producers of the Good Morning Texas show (WFAA) featured them for a nine-week run as commentators on the third season of Dancing with the Stars. In 2007 Nike hired Sergey to choreograph and perform at one of their exclusive events in Portland, Oregon.
They continue to train out of New York with World Latin Champions Allan Tornsberg and Vibeke Toft. Through their coaching Sergey and Michelle have gained a huge appreciation for the art of Latin dancing, musicality, and the true beauty of lead and follow.
Sergey and Michelle teach in North Dallas where they share their love of dance with students who want to learn the art of partner dancing. Some of their students take their dancing to a competitive level while other students learn to dance socially.
Sergey and Michelle specialize in Cha Cha, Samba, Rumba, Paso Doble, Jive, Swing and Salsa, but they also teach the traditional styles of Waltz, Foxtrot, Tango, Viennese Waltz, Quickstep as well.
